Hello! My name is Katy Ortinau, and I have worked with children of all ages ever since I graduated college in 2016. I have worked with Toddlers and children ages 3 to 4 in a classroom setting, and for the last three years I have worked at a local Autism Center as a certified behavior therapist. I’ve also helped many learn outside of the classroom by coaching softball and giving private pitching lessons to young girls.

I absolutely love celebrating each and every milestone with children, whether it’s in a classroom setting or on a softball field. There’s never a dull moment when working with children, which is what makes it very fun, exciting and rewarding for me!

Recently in my spare time, I’ve been planning my upcoming wedding in 2026! My fiancé, step son, and I enjoy being outdoors or cheering on our favorite Chicago sports teams at games, go Cubs go! We have two dogs who make our household complete and also a little chaotic!

I’m extremely excited to join the community Valparaiso Montessori School has established, and I can’t wait to get to know all of the wonderful families!
